FY25 Benefits Open Enrollment Period: April 22 - May 10

We are excited to announce the FY25 Benefits Open Enrollment will take place Monday, April 22 through Friday, May 10. This will be your opportunity to review and customize your benefits to best fit your needs and the needs of your family for the upcoming plan year, July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025.

In preparation for this upcoming open enrollment period, we have updated the ISU HR Open Enrollment web page with the information we have received, so far, from the State Office of Group Insurance (OGI) including premiums and plan summaries. OGI continues to work on the development of information and resources associated with this change, and has indicated they are still developing additional guidance and information. ISU HR will send another communication on or before open enrollment begins and update the ISU HR open enrollment web page with all available information, resources and additional details.

As previously announced, beginning with the FY25 plan year, the medical coverage for the State Health Plan will be serviced by Regence BlueShield of Idaho rather than Blue Cross of Idaho. Dental insurance will remain with Blue Cross of Idaho.

To plan for this medical insurance transition, employees are encouraged to verify their current providers are in network by visiting regence.com. Be sure your home ZIP code is accurate on the top left of the screen above the Regence logo. Then click on 'Find a doctor' (top right) and then 'Choose a network'.

  • Use the Preferred Network to search providers in the PPO and High Deductible plans
  • Use the Participating Network to search providers for the Traditional plan.

OGI has communicated with us so far that they anticipate the transition to Regence BlueShield of Idaho will be a passive enrollment process. A passive enrollment process for this transition would mean that those currently enrolled in a given Blue Cross of Idaho health plan would be automatically transitioned to the Regence BlueShield plan of the same type without having to fill out any new forms, unless you wanted to make a change to your current benefit selections* or to enroll/re-enroll in a Flexible Savings Account (Health care, limited purpose, and/or day care).

*Please see the ISU HR Open Enrollment web page and section “Open enrollment allows you to” for information on what changes to your benefits can be made during open enrollment.

Please don’t hesitate to contact ISU HR Benefits Coordinator, Janice Romero, at benefits@isu.edu or 208-282-3106 with any questions or concerns you have regarding this information.
