Dear Friends,
As we all know, All Saints Church, like so many communities across our country and around the world, has experienced a number of stresses and challenges in recent years. We are deeply grateful to each of you for your commitment to this amazing institution and for your love, faith and support. As we all look to the future, we're confident that All Saints Church will continue our commitment to advancing our mission of making God's love tangible for all humanity.
It is in that spirit that we write to you today to share the news that, after much dialogue, prayer, and reflection, Rev. Mike Kinman, in consultation with the vestry, has decided to transition from his role as Rector. Mike was called to All Saints Church in 2016 and, over the past eight years, he has been a passionate leader and an unwavering advocate for doing as Jesus preached, opening wide the doors into our Faith Community.
We sincerely appreciate Mike’s devotion to furthering the values of courageous justice, radical inclusion, joyful spirituality and ethical stewardship. As Mike moves on, all of us who remain are committed to working to build on the work of his tenure.
Mike's last day at All Saints Church will be this Sunday, July 7th. He will preach at both the 7:30 and 10 a.m. services. Following the 10 a.m. service, we will celebrate his Ministry at All Saints with a reception on the lawn.
We understand that this will represent a significant change in our collective life as a parish. Vestry members are available to answer questions anyone might have, and it is our hope that we will all make ourselves available to provide pastoral care and support to one another during this time. We ask that you keep Mike and his family, along with the Vestry, and our community in your prayers as we all move toward new chapters in our journeys.
Thank you all again for everything you do to make All Saints such a vibrant and passionate community. We are so grateful for you.
