Meet Classical Movements'
Chief Operating Officer!
Page La Fountain (Vice President, Operations) and Elisabeth Christensen at Classical Movements' 30th Anniversary Gala!
Exciting News!

We'd like to introduce our newest team member: Elisabeth Christensen.
A longstanding partner, musician, and distinguished arts leader, Elisabeth will be joining our team in the new role of Chief Operating Officer, effective July 1st, 2024!

Elisabeth brings with her over 20 years of experience in developing performing and educational organizations, and 29 years of experience organizing and leading 16 international orchestra tours.  Her remarkable journey includes notable achievements such as: serving as Managing Director of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, pioneering the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BPYO), directing the renowned New England Conservatory Preparatory School, leading the Crowden Center for Music in the Community as Executive Director, serving as a founding board member of Firebird Ensemble, Inc., and more. Although she's stepping into a new role with Classical Movements, through her extensive experience in the world of classical music, we've had the opportunity to collaborate with her many times over the years.

Alongside our president Neeta Helms, Elisabeth will oversee staff management and HR practices, collaborate on strategic tour planning and finances, and lead initiatives for company promotion and marketing with the rest of our leadership team: Johan van Zyl, Page La Fountain, Alessandra D'Ovidio, and Jayci Thomas.
Neeta Helms (President), Johan van Zyl (Senior Vice President), and Elisabeth Christensen at Mechanics Hall for our client the Portland Youth Philharmonic's concert, marking their Centennial Anniversary Tour.
Neeta Helms, Founder and CEO of Classical Movements states:

“Classical Movements does many things, from operating festivals to producing dozens of tours each year for some of the most well-known orchestral and choral clients. In addition, we commission new music, donate to numerous musical projects around the world, and run a small concert series in our own building in Alexandria, Virginia.

Each year, our tours culminate in over 150 concerts spanning around 60 countries worldwide. I cannot think of a better person to take over the job of overseeing operations to continue to bring each tour to its fullest potential. We are extremely glad that Elisabeth has accepted this newly created role."

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Elisabeth as she embarks on this exciting journey with us. We are confident that her expertise and passion will further elevate the exceptional experiences we offer to you, our cherished clients.
