Child Welfare Judges Conference - October 21-23, 2024

The Children’s Commission, in partnership with the Texas Center for the Judiciary (TCJ), will host the 17th Annual Child Welfare Judges Conference at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center in Georgetown, Texas on October 21-23, 2024. Registration for the conference is now open and is limited to judges who handle civil child welfare cases.

 

The program will start with a pre-conference session for Child Protection Court (CPC) judges and their court coordinators on the morning of Monday, October 21. CPC judges should plan to attend the pre-conference meeting with their coordinators, which will be automatically added to the itinerary upon registration. Separate information and a registration link will be forthcoming for coordinators.

 

All judges are welcome to attend the conference which will begin midday on Monday, October 21 and end midday on Wednesday, October 23. There is no registration fee to attend. Information regarding travel reimbursement is available upon registration. The conference curriculum will provide 14.25 hours of Continuing Judicial Education (CJE) and 13 hours of Family Violence (FV) credit. Additional announcements about the agenda and speakers will follow.
