Dear CVCA Community,
Thank you for your patience as we finished our impact study during the first full week of school with everyone now back on campus. The 90-day construction project on Steels Corners has greatly impacted and increased the northbound traffic on Wyoga Lake Road and has us looking at possible solutions to alleviate the congestion.
After speaking with County officials, the local police department, and our friends at Walsh, we are pleased to announce some changes we hope will make a difference.
- The timing of the light at the corner of Steels Corners and Wyoga Lake Road has been recalibrated. It will now have a longer pass time for north and southbound traffic. We believe this will help relieve some of the afterschool traffic pressure on Wyoga Lake Road.
- We have commissioned Cuyahoga Falls and County Police to place a paid officer on the corner of Seasons and Wyoga Lake Road. This is an extra duty for local officers that must be signed up for (not assigned), but we are hopeful the duty will be filled daily from 2:35 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. until the Steels Corners construction is completed.
