Change a Life, Change the World |

In 2016, Impact100 Metro Detroit awarded its first grant to The Empowerment Plan. Founder and CEO Veronika Scott was the featured speaker at our second annual Women of Impact Breakfast last month. Over 200 women joined the virtual event, where Veronika offered this message: if you change one life, you can change the world. She provided an amazing update on The Empowerment Plan's work to end the generational cycle of homelessness through employment by hiring women to produce coats that turn into sleeping bags for distribution to those in need across the globe.
Check out the short clip below as Veronika credits I100 MD with being the "vote of support and belief" that was needed for Empowerment Plan to grow. As a result, they have now trained 90 women, and distributed 45,000 coats.
