Dear members and friends:
What a Kickoff for Season Seven! With nearly 200 women in attendance, we packed The Elliott Museum and soaked in the wisdom shared by Impact100 founder Wendy Steele. She inspired us to soar to new heights, setting a goal of 500 members by 2025 so we can fund an Impact Grant in each of the five focus areas that are essential for building strong communities: Arts & Culture, Education, Family, Health & Wellness and Environment, Preservation & Recreation. With your help, we can get there.
Thanks to everyone who renewed, joined, brought a friend, filled out an “I Want to Help” card, or hung their Flowering Sea Star ornament on the Evergreen tree to celebrate long-term commitment to Impact100 Martin. A special, great big thanks to our Events Committee, led by Beth Lonnes and Kimberly Rosen, and to our Treasurer/Resident Artist Genevieve George, who created the ornaments.

With gratitude for your generosity no matter the form it takes, | Maureen Cotter, President

On October 26th, several members arrived at the Environmental Studies Center (ESC) to tour the newly refurbished Wet Lab. They had a wonderful time as Director Valerie Gaynor provided a tour of not just the Lab but the entire Center!
They had a wonderful time as Director Valerie Gaynor provided a tour of not just the Lab but the entire Center! The ESC is closed to the public during the week because of scheduled field trips, but they have special events planned throughout the year to ensure the public has a chance to learn and be a part of this "Gem" of Martin County. Many thanks to Mrs. Gaynor and her staff for the wonderful job they do supporting environmental stewardship among our youth!

Lisa had a thirty five year career in sales and marketing before retiring. She and her husband, Gene, have lived in Florida for the past eighteen years. She was on the Board of Children’s Home Society of Florida and actively involved in their Crisis Nursery and The Faine House focused on young adults aging out of the foster care system in Orlando before moving to Stuart four years ago. Helping others has always been her focus.
|
She joined Impact100 Martin almost four years ago because she liked that you could see specifically where your donation dollars were used and she appreciated the idea of collective giving to make a larger impact in your community.
She believes in having a plan and working the plan to drive results. She was instrumental in driving membership at Mariner Sands from 22 members to 64 members in two year as community captain. She recently also joined the Board of Directors as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee and has a goal of 500 members by 2025, enabling five $100,000 grants to be awarded.
Lisa loves to play tennis, golf, and working out. She also enjoys time with family, grandchildren and friends, traveling, painting and entertaining.
