Future Ag is presented in partnership with the Plant Sciences Initiative and the College of Engineering, students will explore the intersection of agricultural science and engineering. Students will also explore the career possibilities in agriculture and engineering, with an emphasis on careers that combine both topics.
While the Future Ag sessions will support the same themes, students do not need to participate in both sessions to register–but the ones who do will have the best experience! Students will ask questions, think critically, and work together as a team at The Science House, in the Cherry Building on North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus East (near Dix Park).
Part I will focus more on the ag/bio aspects of Agricultural Engineering, including opportunities to grow and study live plants, work in the PSI Demo Lab, and be exposed to concepts in genomics and biotechnology.
Part II will focus more on the engineering aspects of Agricultural Engineering, including robotics, Internet of Things, coding, and engineering design.
