Creative Catalyst is a new Illinois Arts Council (IAC) open deadline grant program that offers up to $12,000 grants to Illinois artists and non-profit organizations for arts-related projects, programming, events, and/or professional development. Applications will be accepted until the funds have been expended. Each IAC region has its own allocation so regions may close at different times.

Artists and organizations are encouraged to join IAC Program Staff this Friday, September 6, 2024 at 12pm for their third and final Creative Catalyst drop-in session. Drop-in sessions are one-hour sessions that have no agenda. Participants may ask questions of participating Program Staff and get answers in real time. Pre-registration is not required. As of August 30, 2024, Chicago Metro Creative Catalyst Grant funds have been fully expended. Applications from the Chicago Metro Region will no longer be reviewed and applicants will be notified funds have been expended. Applications are still being accepted from IAC’s Northern, Western, Central, Eastern, and Southern regions.
