The Chattanooga Tea Party Newsletter

September 4, 2017

This Wednesday, September 6, Mayor Coppinger is holding a special public hearing to discuss his proposed property tax increase.  The meeting will be held at 8:30am at the Hamilton County Courthouse, 625 Georgia Ave., on the 4th floor.

The Chattanooga Tea Party was founded in 2009 with the driving belief that you and I are "Taxed Enough Already" (TEA).  Since that date we have spoken out consistently against tax increases of all kinds, whether such increase was proposed by democrats, or in this case republicans.

You may recall that in 2010, our organization led in the effort to recall Mayor Littlefield for his ill-conceived property tax increase. While the Mayor was in fact recalled, thanks to a legal technicality, Mayor Littlefield held onto his office.

But whether it's Littlefield, Coppinger, Berke or Obama, the Chattanooga Tea Party will continue to speak up when politicians choose to dip into your wallet versus pursuing other alternatives.

So, if you've ever shown up to express your opposition to a government proposal, I trust you will do so this Wednesday.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Liberty, once lost, is lost forever!
