ISU Graduate Students Establish Neurodivergent Social Support Group for Adults in Pocatello

Two students in the clinical psychology PhD program at Idaho State University have created a Neurodivergent Social Support Group to foster connections and friendships among neurodivergent adults in Pocatello, providing a safe and inclusive space for activities and support. Joules Emerson and Julia Duran have successfully facilitated social interactions, offering a judgment-free environment that addresses the unique needs of neurodivergent individuals and aims to reduce loneliness and isolation.

Economics Degree Recognized as a STEM Degree by United States Department of Homeland Security

Beginning in Fall 2024, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics from Idaho State University will be considered a degree in a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) discipline. This change not only allows international students extended opportunities to find work in the United States after graduation, but also allows all students to have an economics degree with a more quantitative focus.

Idaho State University to Host K-5th Grade STEM Camp, June 17-21

The purpose of the camp will be to provide hands-on activities to explore solving real-world problems while inspiring young children to study and pursue careers in STEM in the future. Participants will engage in a variety of activities, including 2D modeling, 3D printing, robotics and coding, studying invasive plants in Idaho, exploring bugs and biomes, investigating ubiquitous bacteria, learning computer sorting techniques, and conducting data collection and research.
