More Than 2,000 to be Honored at Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremonies

A total of 2,129 spring and summer 2024 graduates will receive degrees and certificates during Idaho State University’s annual spring commencement ceremonies on May 4 in Pocaetllo and May 6 in Meridian. In Pocatello, graduates will be recognized at two ceremonies in the ICCU Dome. Ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Teachers Inspiring Teachers: Graduate Takes Career Inspiration From Parents

Beckett Bodell is a Meridian native who will be graduating in May 2024 from the Idaho State University College of Education with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with endorsements in natural science and biology. Bodell is a determined student who credits his parents and his love for learning as inspiration for choosing the path of education as a future career.

Social Work Education Across Idaho

In a region where social workers are desperately needed, ISU continues to make an impact through the social work program, and the addition of an online program option. This spring students will graduate from the Bachelor of Art in Social Work (BASW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs, which recently began offering an online program option. ISU has embraced the mandate to provide MSW and BASW education state-wide.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
