Welcoming Historic NASA DC-8 Aircraft to Enhance Aircraft Maintenance Education

The world’s first and largest flying science laboratory now has a home at Idaho State University. Thanks to a donation from the federal government, the historic NASA DC-8 aircraft, known for its decades of scientific missions, officially landed at Pocatello Regional Airport on Wednesday, greeted by ISU officials, community leaders and students from the Aircraft Maintenance Technology Program.

Affirming Excellence in Veteran Student Services Program

Military Education Benefits staff members, Kerry Larsen and Jules Churba-Pyzer, report that, upon conclusion of their FY 2023-2024 survey and receipt of the official DVA Findings and Narrative Letter, ISU had "zero findings" during their most recent Federal Compliance Survey. As Military Education Benefits Coordinator, Kerry Larsen, reported, that's an accomplishment worth noting.

Public Safety Earns Reaccreditation from Idaho Chief's of Police

The Idaho State University Department of Public Safety has successfully completed the Idaho Chiefs of Police Association reaccreditation process. An on-site inspection by members of the Idaho Chiefs of Police Accreditation Team took place April 23, and ISU Public Safety was found to be in full compliance with all accreditation standards set forth by the association.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
