ISU START Program Propels Student to Triple Degree and Successful Career

There have been many people who exemplify what Idaho State University’s Successful Transition and Retention Track (START) aims to do, but few quite as well as Lynette Godfrey. Beginning in 2019, Godfrey entered START to prepare for a college journey that would eventually lead to the completion of three ISU College of Technology’s Energy Systems Technology Education Center (ESTEC) programs — Nuclear Operations Technology, Industrial Cybersecurity Engineering Technology, and Cyber Physical Systems Engineering Technology — in just four years.

ISU Spanish MA Students Meet with Argentine Film Directors

Something funny is happening in an ISU summer course. Not so much something peculiar, but rather, a focus on the laughable, comic, humorous. The virtual Spanish MA course in Professor Marin Laufenberg´s “Argentine Humor in Theatre and Film” course has been spending the weeks of summer soaking up guffaws, chuckles, smiles, but also stifled laughter, gasps, painful grimaces, and utterly ridiculous laughter.

Idaho State University, University of Utah Graduate First Cohort of Idaho Rural Track Psychology Residents

Idaho State University and the University of Utah have worked together to bring about positive change for access to mental health care in Southeast Idaho. The collaboration between the schools saw psychiatry resident physicians working and training in both states, offering critically needed mental health care for populations such as United States veterans, members of the Shoshone Bannock Tribes, students at ISU, and incarcerated individuals at Idaho State Women’s Prison.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
