Art, Ecology, and Resilience: ISU's Ahola-Young Receives Visual Arts Fellowship

Three Idaho artists have been awarded 2025 Fellowships in Visual Arts. From ISU, Laura Ahola-Young was awarded in the drawing and painting category. The awards, given every two years by the Idaho Commission on the Arts, recognize outstanding artists, honoring work deemed to exhibit the highest artistic merit during peer review. Fellowship winners will each receive $5,000.

ISU Family Medicine Residents Receive Six of Nine Idaho Medical Association Awards

Physician residents in the Idaho State University Department of Family Medicine received six of nine honors at the 2024 Idaho Medical Association Foundation Future Physicians of Idaho Awards. Earlier this year, the IMA Foundation announced it would be making six individual awards in the amount of $5,000 each to medical students and residents, with preference for applications with strong connections to Idaho and based upon specific criteria.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
