ISU Students Shine at SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference

With gold medals gleaming and spirits high, students from the College of Technology are setting their sights on the national stage after a great showing at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference in Boise last week. Leading the charge, the college's Diesel/On-Site Power Generation Technology program students made their mark with one of their best finishes in years.

Student Researcher Uncovers Hidden Stories of Women in Revolutionary America

Norra Cardillo, a second-year master's student, recently conducted research in Exeter, New Hampshire, at the American Independence Museum (AIM). Norra began with an interest in her matrilineal ancestors and a passion for uncovering hidden histories. Research also shed light on the experiences of women during colonial times and the Revolutionary War.

2024 Distinguished Faculty Awards Announced

Each year faculty members are selected who exemplify excellence and have made significant contributions in teaching, service and research. The Outstanding Faculty were honored during a reception on April 9. The Distinguished Teacher, Service, and Researcher winners will be celebrated during the Spring 2024 Commencement exercises.

To submit a campus update or story for Idaho State Today, fill out the online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition. A separate newsletter called ROAR Weekly is sent to students on Wednesdays.
