Apprentice Ambassadors and Apprenticeship Specialists hit the road to Harold Washington College in Chicago for a day full of professional development, networking, and fun! Picture this: diving into the art of persuasion, mastering media training, and delving into the future of apprenticeship with a panel of experts.
Mitch Dickey, Apprenticeship Marketing Workgroup Member from TRANSFR VR Inc., led the charge of polishing apprentices' persuasion skills and fostering professional relationships. Meanwhile, Eric Herman from Avoq dished out some media magic with mock interviews, revealing the secrets to telling a captivating personal story. And the cherry on top? Insights from a dream team panel featuring Brent Parton from US DOL, John Barr from DCEO, and Juan Salgado from City Colleges of Chicago, giving a sneak peek into their thoughts on the future of apprenticeships in Illinois.
But the fun didn't stop there! Apprentice Ambassadors and Apprenticeship Specialists jumped into the ring at the Apprenticeship Illinois Committee Summer Quarterly Meeting, firing off questions and comments like pros.
And to wrap up the day on a high note, everyone mingled and jingled at the Apprenticeship Illinois and Illinois Workforce Innovation Board Social, courtesy of the amazing Sarah Galvin, Head of Community Affairs, from Amazon Chicago. It was a feast for the mind and the taste buds!
