Noise Ordinance Changes in the City of Boulder
The change expands the noise ordinance by adding daytime hours, 7 a.m. through 11 p.m. with a measurement of 200 or more feet beyond the property line of the property where the loudspeakers are located in a residential district. It does not apply to commercial areas.
Temple to Rank Off-campus Housing for Safety
Concerned with violence near campus, Temple University has rolled out a variety of safety measures. Its latest effort, set to launch next month, is a database ranking nearby properties that scores rental units on a variety of safety measures. The program will have a tiered system.

Governor Declares September Campus Fire Safety Month
Governor Charlie Baker has declared September to be campus fire safety month in Massachusetts as students and faculty head back to school. Fire officials are reminding students, landlords, parents and school RAs that working smoke alarms and two ways out of a dorm or apartment are key safety measures.
