National & International Headlines

SUNY Brockport Town/Gown Collaborate on Video

One ongoing conversation between SUNY Brockport and the community has been around how to encourage more faculty and staff to live in the college's home community rather than further away in the Rochester area. The college created this video based on recommendations from the committee.

Amazon Prime's "The College Tour"

Miami University hosted a premiere screening of Amazon Prime's "The College Tour: Miami University." The College Tour highlights different college campuses across the U.S., and Miami's episode is a part of the show's third season. The screening was free for the community.

In-Person Veterans Day Events to Take Place in Athens

Ohio University and the City of Athens will celebrate Veterans Day throughout the week with events including a parade, speeches, as well as OHIO athletic teams honoring veterans on select nights. OHIO also launched a crowdfunding campaign.

Why Focus is on Smart Cities in Africa

Africa is projected to maintain its streak as the fastest urbanizing region in the world, where cities and major towns will be home to an additional 866 million people in just 30 years. To sustain the cities, African universities are engineering tech solutions.

These Colleges Had the Highest Student Voter Turnout in 2020

Three colleges tied for the highest overall undergraduate voting rate in the 2020 elections: College of the Atlantic, the University of Puget Sound and Bowdoin College, according to ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a nonpartisan student organization.
