Three Campuses Unite to Become Vermont State University

Three four-year colleges that are part of the Vermont State College system are now united under one name: Vermont State University. Even before COVID, the three institutions were in financial trouble due to chronic underfunding and declining enrollment.

ASU Releases Updates on Racial Justice Commitments

ASU outlined its progress — and lack thereof — it has made on 25 goals to make its campuses a more racially equitable and inclusive place in its LIFT Report published in September. The report listed the names of new programs and proposals underway.

Ireland Wakes up to Four New University Towns

Ireland is waking up today with four new university towns. It is all thanks to the Technological University Shannon: Midlands Midwest officially coming into being today. TUS will have a student population of 14,000, with about 2,000 full and part-time staff.

Low Census Counts Rattle College Towns

As population tallies roll out, campuses and city halls worry a census interrupted by COVID-19 could choke available public dollars. College and local officials have been bracing for low census counts since COVID started spreading in the US.

Ohio State Campus Bar Offering Free Rides Home

A bar near Ohio State's campus is hoping to start a safety movement amid recent crime in the University District. Ellsworth was inspired by the group Buckeyes for a Safe Ohio State after they put up billboards and protested for more safety measures.
