Big Ten and HBCUs to Fight Systemic Racism in Sports

A national nonprofit aiming to end systemic racism in sports announced it will be hosting a series of basketball games between Big Ten universities and HBCUs. The first game is between the University of Michigan and Prairie View A&M University.

A University Town Explores Reparations for a Black Community

Amid racial reckoning following George Floyd's murder in Minneapolis last year, College Park is one of the small handful of cities seeking to rectify damage to Black communities from federal urban renewal programs. A few other cities are contemplating reparations.

Party's Over: Police Seek Suspects for Damage After MSU Game

The destruction in East Lansing on Halloween weekend could haunt college students and others. Police are asking for help in identifying people responsible for couch and mattress fires and other damage when Michigan State won the big football game.

Safety in our Communities: Drink Spiking: Nov. 10, 3:45 pm (GMT)

In response to the rise in drink spiking across the UK, the UKTGA is hosting a virtual roundtable discussion to better support students and the community. Panelists include City Council, Police representatives and others. Contact Poppy Humphrey for login details.

A Sinking Student Housing Empire

Between the busted elevators, the malfunctioning fire alarms and the utilities being shut off for weeks at a time, the students at a half-dozen off-campus housing complexes across the country say they are not getting what they paid for. Investors in some of the properties say the same thing.
