ISW CULTURAL & LANGUAGE SCHOOL NEWS
ISW School assemblies are fun
ISW School assemblies are fun, remarked the students at ISW School. Last week parent volunteer, Subhashini, kept students engaged with stories from the Panchatantra and explained the moral lessons. Later Bindiya Jain, an ISW School teacher, led them in winter craft activities where they decorated wooden ornaments, snowmen and made colorful popup cards. See more photos on the ISW website. The ISW School conducts a variety of activities during assembly including crafts, religion, music demos, and story time. If you would like to share your Indian experiences from travel, culture or any other knowledge, please contact Ruchi.

ISW UNIVERISTY
Our second session on " Learning how to program a robot using LEGO Mindstorms " started this week. Once again it was oversubscribed and registrations closed early. Kunal Chauhan & Svanik Gaddipati, our two 2 state-placing and award-winning LEGO Robotics competitors did a great job teaching the sessions. Our first "Tutoring in Chess " session is coming to a close. Six enrollees were taught by Tara and Anand Chintapalli, high school chess enthusiasts from Tara Chess Academy.

FASCINATING FALL
O Amazing Nature!
I am indebted to you for this colorful spray.
There is no painter like you,
Who can show such pleasing scenes.
God has showered his blessings,
Using colors as his medium.
Selecting the best of the flowers,
To make leaves into a beautiful garden.
A poem by Asha Singh, ISW Cultural and Language School Teacher
