Volume 27 | No.3 | March 2024

Greetings!

It has been so exciting to see the growth of the ISOPP global oncology pharmacy community since the launch of no-fee membership in January. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be part of such a supportive and diverse global community, all working together to advance oncology pharmacy care for patients throughout the world.

Whether you are a newer member or a long-time member I am so grateful that you are here, and I really enjoyed meeting many of you at the New Members Welcome Meetings that took place earlier in March. For those who would like to join us for the next round, we will be scheduling additional meetings later in the year so please keep an eye out for more details to follow!

As you may have seen in last week’s announcement on behalf of the ISOPP Secretariat and Chairs, we introduced the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan which builds upon the 10-year vision introduced in 2023 and continues the foundation laid by previous versions of the strategic plan. The ISOPP Committees and Task Forces are already working hard to achieve these goals, and we invite you to volunteer and contribute to the progress!

I am also happy to share that earlier this month, the new ISOPP Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Task Force officially launched, chaired by Jen Jupp. The Task Force will be developing a position statement and initiatives to help champion EDI principles across the Society, and I thank all the Task Force volunteers who will be contributing to this important work.

Please continue reading below for more ISOPP news and updates including publication and reviewer opportunities in JOPP, and a new educational course launching next month.

I look forward to seeing you online at the Annual General Meeting on April 30, 2024 at 05:00 PDT and/or in person at ISOPP’s 2024 Australasian Regional Symposium in Melbourne on April 20-21, 2024!

With Warm Regards,

Evelyn Handel

ISOPP President
