ISEE What's Happening

I Believe in Good

I believe in Good.

I believe in the outstretched arm that holds the door,

The hug in a time of restless discontent,

The one who sees humanity in the enemy.

I believe in Good.

I believe in Meals on Wheels and Human Rights Campaigns and

Hands offering cranberry sauce and stuffing at the shelter.

I believe in the neo-Nazi converted by daily loving calls from a Rabbi,

The stranger saving the jumper from the bridge,

The anonymous caller for the abused in the night.

I believe in Love, because I see it,

bills dropped into baskets on street corners,

Adopt-a Pet, the Rainforest Fund.

I see it in listening eyes, in an arm around a shoulder,

In a free coffee from the person in front of me in line,

Hands coming out of car windows to help that guy in the rain.

I believe in Good.

I see Good.

I see you.
