For those of you who are joining us in-person, after the service, while you are getting your coffee and snacks, join Rev. Maggie Kilbride as she leads us in making our own Prayer Beads to take home.

Prayer beads are a form of beadwork used to count the repetitions of prayers, chants, or mantras and are used in many faith traditions to help us focus on, and strengthen our prayers, mantras and intentions. Maggie will teach us different ways to use them from her background in Shamanism, and Native American traditions.

Directions to get into the Community Room at the Southside Mall in Oneonta:

The Community room is located catty corner to the interior entrance to J.C. Penney. There used to be a shoe store there.

 

On Sundays, movie theater side entrance of the mall in the front is locked until 11:00 a.m.. You Cannot enter there.

You can either park in front and enter starting at 9:30 am at the center front Main Entrance, between Applebees & Subway, which will be open only for those attending the service.

OR Instead, as you face the mall, you will drive around to the right past Dick’s Sporting Goods to the back of the mall, and drive on the back road to the bumpy parking lot just before JC Penney on the back side- Park there and Enter THE BACK SIDE MAIN ENTRANCE that brings you into the hallway by the bathrooms, pass by the bathrooms, see JC Penney on your right, and the Community Room on your left with the black curtains hanging in the shop windows. Continue in the mall until you see the “cage” door to the community room on your left and enter there. Please make every effort to arrive on time or early, because that main cage door will be closed for privacy once the mall opens.

Self-care for Lightworkers is an in-person 4-part series that will give students exposure to valuable resources and practices to be able to do just that....self-care. Kimberly Winsor, LMT, RPP teaches body and energy centered approaches to creating and maintaining clear, positive energy in yourself and your work environment, whether you are an energy healer, providing healing sessions for friends & family, or accessing your intuition for to provide intuitively received messages. Classes taught in person at ISD Oneonta headquarters.

Dowsing with a pendulum, is one of the oldest forms of divination. It allows you to tune in to subtle universal energies for guidance. In Part I of this class, Judy Lynn brings you closer to your pendulum with a greater understanding of how it best works for you. From the region of zephyrs, the Emerald isle,

   The land of thy birth, in my freshness I come,

To waken this long-cherished morn with a smile,

   And breathe o’er thy spirit the whispers of home.

O welcome the stranger from Erin’s green sod;

 I sprang where the bones of thy fathers repose,

I grew where thy free step in infancy trod,

 Ere the world threw around thee its wiles and its woes.

     But sprightlier themes

     Enliven the dreams,

My dew-dropping leaflets unfold to impart:

     To loftiest emotion

     Of patriot devotion,

I wake the full chord of an Irishman’s heart.

The rose is expanding her petals of pride,

   And points to the laurels o’erarching her tree;

And the hardy Bur-thistle stands rooted beside,

   And sternly demands;—Who dare meddle wi’ me?

And bright are the garlands they jointly display,

   In death-fields of victory gallantly got;

But let the fair sisters their trophies array,

   And show us the wreath where the shamrock is not!

       By sea and by land,

       With bullet and brand,

My sons have directed the stormbolt of war;

       The banners ye boast,

       Ne’er waved o’er our host,

Erin mavourneen! dark is thy night;

   Deep thy forebodings and gloomy thy fears;

But, Erin mavourneen, bright are the names

   Who twine with the heart-vein thy fate in their breast;

And scorned be the lot of the dastard, who shames

   To plant, as a trophy, this leaf on his crest!

       Thrice trebled disgrace

       His honours deface,

Who shrinks from proclaiming the isle of his birth!

       Though lowly its stem,

       This emerald gem

Mates with the proudest that shadow the earth!

ASTROLOGY FORECAST (Mar 17- 24)

The stelliums, (3 or more planets in one sign), in Aquarius and Pisces are still active this week. Saturn, Venus, and Mars are accompanied by female energy expressing asteroids, Juno and Vesta in Aquarius. The Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune are in Pisces.

Additionally, we have 3 very exciting days this week. They are Friday the 18th through Sunday the 20th. A near Kite formation is moving into position in our Solar System. ALL of the planets are within this formation. It is extraordinary! The sky chart below is for the Full Moon on the 18th. Shapes and symbols speak their own language to humanity. Does this formation look as if it is trying to communicate? I believe it does. They are saying, "we stand ready to assist. You are not alone." It is elegant, as if the dance of the Solar System is bowing in reverence to us. Consider the energies of the components in this ephemeris from cafeastrology.com.

There are Trines involving the Moon, Pluto, and the Moon's North Node,(also referred to as the Dragon's head.) The next day the Trines include the Moon, Saturn, Venus, and Mars. In the following days the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune are all Trine the Moon.

As mentioned last week, Trines are always beneficial, and always good luck. The Kite formation, while not exact, stays intact over a few days. This happening around the Full Moon and the Vernal Equinox is off the scale in luck, opportunity, and serendipity.

The Kite symbolizes freedom, prophecy and fate. The Full Moon always encourages the culmination of our endeavors, and the Spring Equinox is universal among all cultures as a time of new growth and a return of life. All of this happens as the Sun reaches its grand finale in dreamy, aspirational Pisces.

 The North and South nodes are a mathematical position calculated as the point where the Moon's nodes cross the ecliptic plane. The Eclipses are always along these nodal axes. The North node is at one corner of this Kite formation. It is about Soul growth, where all of your previous experiences are taking you. It is where you may need to leave your comfort zone. If you succeed the rewards are substantial. It is where you courageously meet your first, best destiny.

Now let us include Pluto at the other Kite corner. Remember that Pluto influences entire generations and populations. This is, conceivably, about the life purpose of the Human collective. We have unique paths, but we also have universal aspirations. Our planet is at a decision point right now. We all feel and know it. The upheaval has been considerable for several years now. Do we go forward into the Aquarian Age?

We are living in the days of a paradigm shift. If you would like to have something tangible to make this more real for you, I once again encourage you to go outside. You can view Venus, Mars, and Saturn. They are close together in the Southeastern sky just before Sunrise.

I encourage you to use every tool available to you to make the shift of the ages with an elegance that will be remembered by our Star family for eternity. May you find your Godspeed!
