A Majority of Families Considering a New School for their Children
In a study conducted in January, 2023, of over 3,800 parents of school-aged children, 54% answered 'yes' to the question:
At any point in the past year, did you think about, consider, search for, or choose a new or different school or learning environment for any of your school-aged children?
Other interesting results showed that 64% of Black and Hispanic parents considered new schools for their children compared to 46% of white parents; and the younger the parent, the more likely they were to consider a new school.
29% of parents overall indicated they were considering private or religious schools
65% of parents said they wish they had more information about the schooling options available to them.
