Dear Intermediate School Families,
Today we celebrate the 100th day of school! 100 days of learning and growing for our students! As we move into February, please be sure to send your child to school dressed for the cold weather. We do try to have outdoor recess whenever it is above freezing. If you are in need of any cold-weather gear for your child, please email our interim school counselor, Ms. Adams at sadams@cvsd.net
Girls on the Run is back at CVIS! Girls on the Run sign-ups begin February 2nd! Practice will be Mondays and Wednesdays after school. Sign up on gotrmagee.org or contact Coach Newcamp for more information knewcamp@csvd.net
Valentine's Day Party
The Intermediate School's Valentine's Day classroom parties will be held on February 11 in the afternoon. The classroom parties are sponsored by our PTG. If your child chooses to exchange valentines, please have him/her bring a valentine for each student in the classroom. Please do not send in edible treats as part of your child's valentine. The PTG will provide a snack/treat for the class.
Title One Parent and Family Survey
Chartiers Valley Primary and Intermediate Schools are Title I schools. As a parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school, you are an important part of our Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of parent and family engagement activities and professional development opportunities for our staff. The following survey is confidential and will be used to assist in future planning. We value and appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. The survey will be available through February 4, 2022. Please click HERE to complete this.
COVID-19 Symptoms/Exposure Notification Form
Please use this form to notify the District that your student has been exposed, has symptoms, or has tested positive for COVID-19. Rather than emailing various staff members, completing this form will allow us to streamline communication directly to the school nurse and be more efficient in our response. All submissions are confidential. For your convenience, this form is also available on the District website under "one clicks" and on the COVID-19 page.
The ACHD has updated its isolation/quarantine guidelines and has worked to develop this very useful app that assists in determining whether or not one should quarantine and for how long.
Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2022
Kindergarten registration for Fall 2022 is now open. All school-aged children residing within the Chartiers Valley School District, including students who attend private, parochial, placement, and charter schools, must register with the District registrar. Children turning 5-years-old on or before September 1 are eligible to attend Kindergarten in the fall. For more information, including the complete registration packet and list of required documents, visit the registration page on the District website.
As always, thank you for your partnership in your child's education!

From the Cafeteria
This school year our Food Service Department is experiencing some supply chain issues with numerous menu items for both breakfast and lunch. Some popular items are on backorder with no known restock date at this time. Please be aware that we are adjusting the menus when we are informed of any out of stock items and we are giving students other options to choose from during meal service. We ask for your patience during this time, we are doing the best we can with what products we are able to order. Please contact me if you have any questions and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Chartiers Valley School District is offering FREE breakfast and FREE lunch to every student, every school day. More information.
We are also offering an a la carte snack menu this year for students who wish to pack their lunch and buy snacks.
