We want to welcome our new staff to IPS!
The new staff members were happy to share some fun facts with us, including their favorite coffee order and a sweet treat of choice, so don't hesitate to spoil them when you see them in person!

Wellness Corner
Spending time in nature and green spaces reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and promotes relaxation and well-being. Areas that promote walking, jogging, cycling, hiking, and playing sports are natural mood lifters and help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. Parks also serve as communal spaces for gatherings of family, friends, and communities, where interaction with others can combat loneliness and improve overall mood.

Our very own Meredith Gibson created
this map, which promotes mental health wellness by mapping national, state, and regional parks and forests and local parks accessible within 50 miles of counties where IPS staff live, work, and play.

IPS @ AP20 Conference
Earlier this month, 19 of our staff members attended the Alcohol Policy Conference 20 in Arlington, Virginia. We want to congratulate our presenters—Brenda Simmons, Sarah Blanch, Eric Collins, Meredith Gibson, and Kendall Watanabe—for doing an amazing job representing our organization with their insightful and impactful presentations.

A special shout-out goes to our first-time presenters, Gabriel Hill, Hannah Cordeiro, and Lupita Martinez-Roddie. Your debut presentations were outstanding. We are incredibly proud of you!
Quarterly Staff Recognition
Every four months, IPS likes to recognize the incredible people who work throughout the organization by selecting three peer nominations and rewarding them with 4 hours of PTO!

We can't do this without your help! PLEASE help the nominating committee by submitting your nominations and shout-outs by Wednesday, June 19th. NOMINATE HERE.
