Finra, which started collecting transaction data for U.S. Treasuries in 2017, began publicly releasing weekly aggregate volume statistics last Tuesday. Reports covering the prior week will be published on  Finra’s website on Tuesdays at 8am New York time (or on Wednesdays if Monday is a holiday).

FEDERAL RESERVE
The Fed slashed its benchmark  interest rate to near zero on Sunday  and said it would buy $700 billion in Treasury and mortgage-backed securities. The Fed planned to announce its rate decision after a two-day Federal Open Market Committee meeting, with many economists expecting it to cut interest rates to their lowest level since 2015. Policy makers planned to act before the March 17-18 FOMC meeting “ if they think they’ve seen enough .”
