The first phase of the Global Code of Conduct (Code) for the Foreign Exchange Market will be published, following a meeting of the Global Foreign Exchange Committees. The Code will be published by the Foreign Exchange Working Group (FXWG).  In connection with the release of the Code, the FXWG will host a press teleconference to include  Guy Debelle, Reserve Bank of Australia; David Puth, Chief Executive Officer of CLS;  Simon Potter, Federal Reserve Bank of New York; and  Chris Salmon, Bank of England.

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) holds its annual conference on the latest regulatory and compliance issues.  Brokerage-industry regulators and government officials will welcome industry executives to their home turf  at a time when markets are unsettled "amid a wide variety of economic and geopolitical headwinds," Richard Ketchum, FINRA's chairman and CEO, said in a statement. "The new year brings novel capital-raising techniques like funding portals, ever-increasing threats to cybersecurity, as well as existing concerns like the growing population of senior investors," Ketchum said.  Attendees are scheduled to hear from Commodity Futures Trading Commission member Sharon Bowen, numerous FINRA officials including Ketchum and Enforcement Director Bradley Bennett, as well as representatives from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
