PENNSYLVANIA FBLA

National Leadership Conference Update #03

General Information About Conference Schedules/Other Items (and not travel)

please check your email daily for Pennsylvania FBLA NLC updates

please make sure everyone in your group is receiving these updates

Dear PA FBLA NLC Travelers (and FBLA Chapter Advisers Not Attending the NLC):

This will be the 3rd in a series of regular NLC updates to keep you informed as we prepare to meet in Orlando. This is also your 3rd opportunity to make sure everyone in your group is receiving these emails.

Everyone needs to make sure the following emails are on their "approved senders" list to prevent these emails from landing in junk mail folders. School email systems tend to block PA FBLA and National FBLA emails unless they appear on the approved senders list. The very first one is absolutely essential.

Conference Schedules

National FBLA has published more information about when competitive events will be administered in Orlando. Check these schedules for specific high school or middle school schedules:

FBLA High School Schedule

FBLA Middle School Schedule

On or about June 14, National FBLA will be publishing specific performance schedules and the report times for competitors. As soon as those schedules are published, I will send information to you.

Competitive Events Packing List

National FBLA has published the following packing list for competitors. You need to start planning now as competitors need to bring their own laptops or tablets to take their tests. If you are bringing a school-issued device, you need to make sure there are no security restrictions which will block the test (if you had a problem at the PA FBLA state conference in Hershey and are bringing the same device, I am betting you will have the same problem in Orlando!) Phones are not an acceptable device to attempt to take the objective test.

ALL high school competitors MUST bring a photo ID in order to compete. Middle school competitors do not need a photo ID.

  • High School Competitors: Photo ID (Don't have a photo ID? Click here.)
  • Online Testing: Laptop Device and Charger (Visit the online testing article here)
  • Presentations: Presentation Materials, Devices, Props (if needed, view competitive events guidelines for specifics)
  • Competition Attire: View the Dress Code

FBLA Night at Universal

The event is sold out! There are no more tickets to purchase. You can still purchase Universal passes for 1-3 days by going to this National FBLA area, but this purchase does not entitle admission to the FBLA Night at Universal as that is a separate private event.

Universal Park to Park Day Passes

FBLA has secured exclusive discounts for park to park passes at Universal Studios. These passes allow holders to jump between Universal Studios Florida & Universal Islands of Adventure.

  • 1-Day Park to Park – $130 ($222.59 Online)
  • 3-Day Park to Park – $195 ($411.08 Online)

How to Buy? Click this link.

If you ordered your FBLA Night @ Universal tickets through Pennsylvania FBLA, that order has been placed and those tickets are reserved. Don't panic, but we cannot get additional tickets if you didn't place an order.

Guest Passes for the Awards Program and/or Opening Session

National FBLA is offering guests (those NOT OFFICIALLY REGISTERED AND PAID) the opportunity to purchase guest passes for the Awards Program and/or Opening Session. The costs are:

Awards Program, July 2: $25 per person

Opening Session: June 29: $25 per person

How to Buy? Click this link.

Reminder: If you are an officially registered and paid NLC attendee ($195 for FBLA members/$100 for adults), there is no need to purchase guest passes. Admission to these two events is already included in your paid registration.

Online NLC Orientations for High School and Middle School Advisers, Chaperones, Guests

National FBLA is offering an online Zoom orientation on the following dates. Register to attend one of the sessions offered by National FBLA by clicking the link:

June 11 at 12:00 PM ET

June 12, 6:00 PM ET

Pennsylvania FBLA State Meeting

Pennsylvania FBLA will be holding a "state meeting" in Orlando. It will be on Friday night, June 28, from 9:00-10:00 pm. Because of the large number of other outside groups in the hotel, our meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Details will follow. Please put this date on your calendar.

I am aware that travel schedules may result in your arrival in Orlando occurring after June 28. There's not much I can do about that. For those that are in town, we are looking forward to seeing you at this meeting.

Pennsylvania FBLA NLC Headquarters

Pennsylvania FBLA will have an event HQ at the Rosen Centre. We won't know where that is until closer to our arrival time in Orlando. Once we know that, it will be shared with you.

For everyone, your NLC registration materials will be distributed through PA FBLA at our conference HQ. That's where groups will receives name badges and other national materials, including pre-purchased tickets directly from National FBLA and materials that will be distribute by PA FBLA, which include shirts, swag bags, trading pins, and more.

More information about what you can expect to pick up at PA FBLA NLC headquarters will come in the days leading up to the conference.
