As of May 2011, the United States Postal Service (USPS) will sunset their use of the V2 version of the LIVE RATES, which is the API that CandyPress (as well as many other eCommerce platforms) uses to obtain these rates. We have rebuilt the API in CandyPress to now utilize their V4 version which is now required. You may begin using this update immediately.
CandyPress carts WILL FAIL to process orders if are using USPS LIVE RATES after May 2011.
ANY RELEASE BELOW 5.2.0.28 (Our Table-Based Template Version) or 6.2.0.28 (Our CSS Version) will be effected.
Your options include the following:
1. If you purchased CandyPress version 5 or above, you may login to your account and download the latest version of CandyPress which we have already updated your account with.
2. If you are using a version below 5 you will need to disable live rates, and utilize another carrier, source, or utilize shipping rates that you set on your own.
3. If you have a modified site (of V5 or above), you may still download the latest update, and replace 1 single file which is _INCshipUSPS_.asp to correct the problem.
Updates for versions below 5 will be made available for purchase in the coming week at www.candypress.com, but we suggest you upgrade your cart to one of our latest releases to take advantage of all the added features, security updates and enhancements that have been made to CandyPress.
If you are hosting your cart with Cavallo Communications, and using USPS online rates, you can simply open a ticket and we will replace the file for you providing you are at one of the later releases of CandyPress.
