Important Information for You

Time and Location:

  • 9:30 – 3:00 p.m. (Check-in begins at 9:15.)

  • We will be in the Grand Ballroom, Marriott Santa Clara, 2700 Mission College Blvd. Santa Clara (Enter the main lobby, the location, pass the registration desk and turn left to the Grand Ballroom.)

  • It will be open seating (No/few assigned tables). If you want to sit as a group, it is recommended that someone from your group arrive early and save seats. Although it is also nice to mix it up.  You are going to leave the Summit with new friends!

Parking - VERY IMPORTANT!

Kids in Common is paying for parking. (So don’t panic when you see the parking prices.)

  • Be sure you bring your parking ticket in with you so you can validate it. (And don’t lose it!)
  • If you are able to carpool, please do. It is good for the environment and saves us a bit of cash. 😊

Meals/Food at the Summit

  • Breakfast will be LIGHT. Kind and Nature Valley breakfast bars, yogurt, fruit, coffee and tea. If you are a big breakfast eater, please have some protein before you arrive.
  • Water – In order to take care of the environment, we will not have bottled water, but water stations.
  • Lunch – We will have box lunches (with sandwich or salad, fruit and cookie) after the design session (around 1:00 p.m.) The choices are:
  • Roast Beef Sandwich Nudo (Nudo means the mayo and mustard are on the side)
  • Chicken Italiano Sandwich (the aioli has bacon in it)
  • Southwestern Fiesta Salad (Vegetarian/Gluten Free)
  • Kale and Quinoa Salad (Vegan/Gluten Free)

  • NOTE – if you have a nut or other allergy and haven’t been in communication with Dana about it, please email Dana at dbunnett@kidsincommon.org and let me know which meal you want. Those with nut allergies will pick up a meal designated for them. (Note – the kitchen is not nut-free so there is a risk of atmospheric exposure.)
