Dear Las Lomas Resident,

In the letter sent to you on December 2, UCI and the Irvine Campus Housing Authority (ICHA) announced that UCI will redevelop the Las Lomas Apartments location, and that Las Lomas will be decommissioned and permanently closed in the fall of 2020.

The letter also included information about guaranteed alternative housing at the Miramonte Rental Townhomes , a new rental community for faculty and staff. We are pleased to be able to offer you a guaranteed unit in University Hills' newest community. ( Las Lomas is owned by UCI and managed by ICHA; all other University Hills rental communities, including Miramonte, are ICHA-owned and managed. )

If you did not receive this information, or if you have not yet contacted the ICHA Rental Department about relocation, we strongly encourage you to call (949) 824-6254 or come in to the ICHA office as soon as possible to learn more about your options. Current Las Lomas residents wishing to lease a Miramonte Townhome or request placement on the waitlist(s) of other ICHA communities may do so at any time by scheduling an appointment with the Rental Department or by coming to the ICHA office at 1083 California Avenue, Irvine CA 92617 during business hours. Requests for Miramonte units or waitlist additions are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis .

Las Lomas residents may also choose a unit in Miramonte at the next informational session on Tuesday, December 10:

If you attended the first informational session held on December 4, but have additional questions, please come to the session on December 10. We realize there was some confusion at the previous informational session about filling out applications and being assigned a unit in Miramonte. At Tuesday's session, our entire Rental Department team will be on hand to assist you. If you have not made an appointment yet with the Rental Department, you can complete an application and choose a unit at the session if you wish.

We regret the disruption caused by this development, and we are committed to helping you secure alternative housing that meets your household's needs. We look forward to seeing you at the informational session on Tuesday.
