Dance & Tumbling Education are Important!
It is our aim to develop strong bodies with an appreciation of movement and music.
The study of dance and tumbling can help students to develop a positive self-concept, be motivated to be physically fit, manage stress and increase strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance, and agility. Dance and tumbling provide opportunities for the development of creative capacities, skills of leadership and social interaction, and seeking new friendships.
Studio Policy
No matter what the objective of the students, whether for recreation, education or preparation for a professional career, a foundation of technique is essential for any dance or tumbling at any level. Accomplishments can be made only if the student attends class regularly. If the student must miss class and wants to make up that time, an alternate class is available. We must know if your child cannot attend class before the class begins.

We will not be handing out any paper newsletters, so please watch your emails for newsletters and updates. Dance & tumbling schedules and tuition are now available to view in your parent portal!
Please click HERE to login into your parent portal. Once logged in, please click on the calendar icon on the bottom, left side of the home page and forward to September 3rd when classes begin to view your full schedule. Competition students, your groups will start meeting the week of September 29th.
If you are having trouble viewing any classes in your calendar it may be that you either haven't registered yet or need to finish your registration! Once your registration is complete, we will get your child put into classes for the upcoming season.

Auto Pay:
It is required that all our students sign up for auto pay to register for dance with our studio. Auto Pay will be initiated the 10th of each month, and depending on your form of payment, you will see it go through 1-2 business days after it's initiated. Auto pay will be used for all charges, not just tuition, including costumes, competition fees, music fees, recital media fees, etc. If you wish to choose an alternate form of payment, you need to then pay at our front desk BEFORE the 10th of each month. If you do not notify the front desk otherwise, all remaining balances will go through autopay by the 10th. For any declined payments, if your balance is not paid within the week, there will be a $15 late fee added.

Dancers can schedule an appointment with Mark's Dancewear in Johnston, IA to be fitted for their pointe shoes. Dancers will need to have their pointe shoes (sewn and ready to wear) by their first class in October. We will use the first month to prep and work on technique in ballet shoes. Tumbling Recital:
We will be holding a Tumbling Recital at the Rec Center the week of our dance recital. Our plan is to hold the Tumbling Recital one of the nights we have off from dance. More information to come at a later time.

All competition dancers and their parents need to print, sign and return the last page of the handbook by Thursday, October 26th.
Competition Fees:
$525/group
Competition Fees are due Tuesday, October 1st and will be withdrawn via Auto Pay.
Groups with a Guest Choreographer (MUSE or Megan V.), your additional choreography fees will be withdrawn on Sunday, September 1st.

Competition Jackets:
Please click HERE to order your Competition Jacket. It is the same jacket from last season. All new competition dancers will need to order one. We like for our team to match and represent the studio together when we head off to competitions. Jackets are $78.99. All jackets will be charged on your account when you place your order and will be taken out with the first month's tuition on the 10th. Deadline to order is Thursday, September 5th.
Fusion Backpack:
Click HERE to order your Fusion Backpack. Backpacks are not required. The backpacks are $64.99. All backpacks will be charged on your account when you place your order and will be taken out with the first month's tuition on the 10th. Deadline to order is Thursday, September 5th.
Ballet Technique:
All competition students are required to take a ballet technique class, regardless of which competition group they are in. All students have been placed in a technique class based on age and level of technique. Required Technique Attire: any colored leotard, PINK tights, ballet shoes and hair slicked back in a bun. Dancers can wear ballet skirts, but they are not required.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser:
We AGAIN are offering the opportunity for our dancers and tumblers to sell cookie dough to fundraise money to be used towards their account! We will be working with Whye's Choice Fundraising. The fundraiser will take place Monday, September 23rd - Tuesday, October 8th. Forms/Online link will be given out in class. Students will receive $5 off their account for every item sold.

Christmas Performance:
This year's Christmas performance will be Home for the Holidays. This show will highlight Carroll and all its family-friendly, holiday traditions! We are excited to continue our own tradition in bringing the Christmas Spirit to the Carroll Community. Cost for this performance opportunity is $30 and includes rehearsals, choreography, and helps cover costs incurred. We welcome ALL our dancers to join! Participants are also required to purchase a cast t-shirt. Cost is $22 for the t-shirt. Sign up will be available in the Fusion Dance lobby starting at Open House. Rehearsals begin in October and run through show week (December 1st -7th). More details to come at a later time.
