New Livery License Number Range



The Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) has worked with the Illinois Secretary of State (IL SOS) to expand the number of City of Chicago livery licenses.


The current range of City of Chicago livery license numbers is 7000 to 9999. The expanded range of City of Chicago livery license numbers is 70000 to 73000. The IL SOS will continue to issue Illinois license plates which correspond to City of Chicago livery licenses.

Chicago Park District Approves Permit For Riot Fest In Douglass Park This September


CHICAGO (CBS) -- Riot Fest will be returning to Douglass Park this summer.

Some neighbors near the park in North Lawndale have been complaining about the crowds and the damage left behind in past years – and had urged city leaders to pull the permit for Riot Fest.

But the Chicago Park District on Wednesday decided to approve the music festival for the weekend of Sept. 15.

Temporary casino could open soon: State regulators today handed down a key early approval to Bally’s Chicago casino plan, paving the way for the corporation to launch a temporary gambling house within a couple of months at the historic Medinah Temple in River North while it builds the permanent structure in River West.
