SISTERS, SERVANTS OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
Animated by the IHM Charism ... Embracing the Mission With Love, Creative Hope & Fidelity...A Legacy of Grace!

I have been watching funny Instagrams about teachers and how they feel about the last day of school. I could relate to more than a few of them. Then a reel popped up with three words across the top: "Teachers please know". It was posted by a mom who asked her sixth grade daughter if she was excited about the last day of school. Her daughter responded with tears in her eyes, "Mom, I am going to miss my teacher so much." This mom wanted all teachers to know that you matter!

I ask you to take a few minutes to view the closing of the school year through this lens. It is truly heartwarming to see the impact you have on your students, colleagues, and school community. This story serves as a reminder of the profound connections you forge in the classroom. You are not just educators; you are mentors, role models, and beacons of kindness and support. You mirror the face of Jesus to your students each day. Your influence goes beyond the classroom as you embody confidence and encouragement to those you meet. Never forget that you do matter. You matter to the students, staff, fellow teachers and the principal who will miss you every day of the summer!

Your principals and administration know you are the ones who make them look good! You are valued, appreciated, cherished and essential to shaping our future world.

Rest and relax in this knowledge this summer and come and do it all over again next year!

Blessings,

Sister Mary Sue, IHM

IHM CHARISM CONNECTION
CREATIVE HOPE

The IHM Charism, our unique way of being present to God's people, is defined by three graces: love, creative hope and fidelity. We are always eager to share these graces with those around us in every circumstance!
With our Charism grace of CREATIVE HOPE we place our confidence in God's Providence that what we think we can't do, we can accomplish by uniting our efforts to God's Providence! Creative hope gives us the spiritual energy to find a way when there seems to be no way. We don't settle for less when we are capable of much more; we don't settle for negativity or despair. Creative hope helps us to look to the future with fresh eyes and renewed vigor!

Have you watched The Letter film? This is a repost because it is worth the time!

The Letter tells the story of a journey to Rome of frontline leaders to discuss the encyclical letter 'Laudato Si’ with Pope Francis. The exclusive dialogue with the Pope, included in the film, offers a revealing insight into the personal history of Pope Francis and stories never seen since he became the Bishop of Rome.

THE CHAPLET OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This year we celebrate the feastday on June 7. This devotion dates back to the 11th century and in 1673, Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. During her visions, Sister Margaret Mary learned ways to venerate the Sacred Heart of Christ. The chaplet is one avenue that will bring us closer to His Heart and the truth of His great love for each of us.

The Chaplet of the Sacred Heart of Jesus has 33 small beads, a center piece, Crucifix and a Sacred Heart medal. One side of the medal has the Sacred Heart of Jesus; the other has the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Begin with the following prayer on the Crucifix:

"Soul of Christ, sanctify me!

Body of Christ, save me!

Blood of Christ, inebriate me!

Water from the side of Christ, wash me!

Passion of Christ, strengthen me!

O good Jesus, hear me!

Within Thy wounds, hide me.

Permit me not to be separated from Thee.

From the evil one, defend me.

In the hour of death, call me and bid me come to Thee,

that with Thy saints and angels I may praise Thee forever and ever. Amen."

On the large beads say:

"O Sweetest Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may love Thee more and more."

On the small beads say:

"Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love."

At the end of each decade, say:

"Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation."

Upon completing the Chaplet, say:

"May the Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament,

be blessed, adored and praised with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time."
