The Arc of Virginia
  • Arc Convention 2022: Have you registered for The Arc of Virginia's annual convention? Join staff, self-advocates, and families in Virginia Beach from August 1st to August 3rd. You can also attend virtually! Find registration links and event details at https://www.thearcofvaconvention.com/.
Virginia Department of Education Office of Facilities and Family Engagement
  • Critical Decision Points for Families of Children with Disabilities: On Friday, August 12th, attend a free training to learn how you can make the best decisions for your child's educational path. This event takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel in Sandston, VA. Learn more and register here.

  • Supported Decision Making: The Details Training for Individuals and Families: Individuals with disabilities, self-advocates, and family members are invited to attend this 2-part training on supported decision making agreements! Trainings are offered in-person and can be streamed virtually. Visit this link to get the training dates in your region.

  • The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) launched a COVID-19 toolkit for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The toolkit includes tip sheets for caregivers and providers, and is also available in Spanish. Find it here!
