Young team extends vernacular architecture at historic sites
The ICAA is honored to announce that architecture team Imanol Iparraguirre and Aritz Díez Oronoz have been named joint winners of the 2019 Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition .

The Award, now in its third year, is a collaboration between the ICAA, the Prince's Foundation, and the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism. Open to applicants from around the world, the Award aims to shine a light on exceptional talent exhibited by young professionals working in the classical tradition.

Explore Southern California in the ICAA's annual publication
The latest issue of the ICAA's annual publication Classicist is now available to view online for free.

Focused on Southern California and guest edited by noted architect Marc Appleton, the Classicist No. 15 explores the region's rich architectural history as well as contemporary examples of classical design through professional and student portfolios, and academic articles authored by leaders within the field.

Offering scholarship opportunities specifically for interior architects and designers
The ICAA's Northern California Chapter is proud to announce the Suzanne Tucker Design Scholarship in Interior Architecture or Design , which will be offered every year in support of a student or professional in Interior Architecture or Design to attend the ICAA's Intensive in Classical Architecture in New York or Northern California.

Scholarship applications are now open for the 2019 San Francisco Intensive in Classical Architecture .

Part of the ICAA's "Design in Mind" series, the film will play on Connecticut Public Television
Tonight, Thursday, March 28th, marks the first airing of the ICAA's mini-documentary chronicling the contributions that the iconic architect Robert A.M. Stern has made to both architecture and education. The film will air at 9:45 PM on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV).

For those outside of CPTV's broadcast area, you can view the film embedded on their website.

Future airings will be announced.

Programs offered across the country
The ICAA holds programs on topics in architecture and the allied arts throughout the year, many of which are offered for free or at a reduced cost for ICAA members. These programs offer opportunities to engage with and learn more about the classical tradition as well as its historical and contemporary practice. 

This spring's calendar showcases events across the country, such as Napoleon's Architects, featuring B arry Bergdoll and Jean-Philippe Garric discussing the renowned work of Charles Percier and Pierre Fontaine.

Deadlines approaching for upcoming education courses and other national education opportunities
The ICAA offers a diverse range of educational opportunities across our chapters including Continuing Education Courses, Professional Intensives , Workshops, and the Christopher H. Browne Drawing Tours . Scholarships are also available for many courses, so explore our calendar today.

The application deadline is approaching for  the Christopher H. Browne Colonial Williamsburg Drawing Tour , and applications are now being accepted for the Christopher H. Browne Paris Drawing Tour .

The reissued volume is reviewed in Traditional Building
Published in collaboration between the ICAA and the Princeton Architectural Press, McKim, Mead & White: Selected Works 1879 to 1915 compiles four original volumes into one new edition, showcasing the work of the best-known architecture firm of America's Gilded Age.

Now the book has been reviewed in Traditional Building , where its great influence on American architecture is recognized and celebrated.

The ICAA is pleased to present From the Timeless to the Timely: A Celebration of New Orleans Style (December 11-15). This special journey will grant access to incredible private homes that have been preserved since the Colonial and Classical Revival periods, as well as visits to historic plantations, shotgun houses, and the lovely Garden District.
