Dear Friends,
It is with immense joy that we present the Inclusive Communities Annual Report for 2022-2023—an extraordinary year of growth and accomplishment. After nearly eight years of dedicated service, Maggie Wood retired in May, passing on the role of sole Executive Director to Cammy Watkins. Despite this transition, we remain committed to our celebrated Shared Leadership Model, which garnered recognition in two significant ways this year.
Cammy was a featured presenter at the ICAN 7x7x7 event, highlighting the successes of our shared leadership approach. Additionally, Inclusive Communities was honored with the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) 2023 Catalyst Award, an accolade reserved for nonprofits exemplifying innovation and progress. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team, volunteers, and faculty.
2023 marks Inclusive Communities’ 85th year! Amidst the changing landscape, our mission to confront prejudice, bigotry, and discrimination remains unwavering. As the demand for our programs and services continues to grow, we respond strategically with targeted hiring, increased investment in faculty and volunteers, and a commitment to partnerships and collaboration. Our Annual Report provides a comprehensive snapshot of our impactful work.
