Hello Tsipi,

On July 11, 2024 I became an Honorary Member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a leading organization of international women educators founded in 1929. I'm honored to join history-makers like Hillary Clinton, Dolly Parton, and Michaelle Jean as an honorary member of an organization as impactful as DKG.

It was Jeanne Morascini, Founder of the Curriculum of Hope for a Peaceful World Committee who first introduced me to the Connecticut chapter of DKG in 2017. This group continues to carry her wishes of honoring me and exhibiting CITYarts Pieces for Peace as they inspire more schools every year.

Accepting the Honorary Membership

CITYarts may be one of the very few organizations to honor an educator every year at our gala. We strongly advocate for education to become the #1 profession in the land here in the USA and everywhere around the world. Educators deserve our respect, praise, and all the resources they need.

After all, these committed, dedicated educators inspire our youth to become the next generation of leaders!

For us when youth collaborate on projects with educators and artists, it’s a powerful combination that takes them to imagine and achieve their loftiest dreams.

I can't thank enough DKG President, Debbie LeBlanc, the Connecticut chapter of DKG, the New York chapter, and each and every one of these amazing educators who made me feel so welcome showing me how to navigate, especially Madeline Ferguson from Tennessee who made sure I had some fun too. I am also grateful to many other DKG members, in particular Sy Franco Stern, Membership Director, who opened the door to new ideas. Marie Ann who invited me to join the New York dinner party. Sara Sanchez from Connecticut who started the ball rolling with Jeanne’s wishes.

This honor will be more than valuable when we all make sure to unite our youth for peace in all the 17 members countries and all the 50 States by Creating CITYarts Pieces for Peace. This is an open invitation to collaborate. I can’t wait to contribute our best imaginations and resources to make it happen!

Let’s spread the DKG impactful educational activities around the world; our educators deserve it.

Stay safe and hopeful,

Tsipi Ben-Haim,

Founder, Executive, and Creative Director
