We’re still basking in the glow of our 2024 Commencement ceremony. We had an amazing group of speakers: Dr. Jana Pausauraq Harcharek gave the commencement address and Roxanna Nasugluk Oyagak was our student speaker. Esther Suŋauraq Hugo received an Honorary Associate of Arts Degree and Kristin Tuuq Gutierrez-Edwards was our Alumna of the year. Faculty of the year award went to Jerry Ogden and Carla Buckles was voted Adjunct Faculty of the Year. We also received beautiful messages from Senator Lisa Murkowski and Representative Mary Peltola to top it off!

Students from our IÑU 260 class joined the Taġiuġmiut Dancers for drumming and dancing both before and after the ceremony. Watch the recorded livestream above to see the full ceremony! Aarigaa tavrapiallak to all of our graduates- We can’t wait to see what you do next.

Yay hey hey!

Aarigaa tavrapiallak to our North Slope whaling crews, families and the many hands involved in serving our communities during this spring harvest. As a tribal college, we are extremely grateful for the gift of the whale that feeds our communities.

Our wonderful dorm students worked with Cultural Specialist, Jamie Harcharek, elder Edith Nageak and seamstress Pretty Fishel to make atikłuks in Iḷisaġvik colors. The results were spectacular!

Local stuffed animals had a fabulously fun-filled night at the Fuzzies @ Tuzzy Slumber Party last weekend! They made lots of new friends, played games, read stories and got into a little mischief. After a long night and solid slumber, the fuzzies were happy to see their kid friends again but cannot wait until the next party where hopefully they’ll meet more new fuzzy friends. Quyanaqpak for all the participants and we hope to see you at Tuzzy again soon.
