Upcoming Scheduled Lane and Ramp Closures

May 10-18

Motorists can anticipate the following scheduled lane and ramp closures below as contractor crews continue to complete work along the corridor. All construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Motorists can anticipate the following overnight alternating, single-lane closures:

• I-64 in both directions from Bowers Hill to the Shell Road overpass (approximate mile marker 295) May 10-17 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• I-64 in both directions from the High Rise Bridge to Greenbrier Parkway (exit 289), including the Express Lane shoulder, May 10-17 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should anticipate the following scheduled overnight closures and detours:

Overnight closure and detour of the off-ramp from I-64 east to George Washington Highway south (exit 296B) May 11-12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the detour below.

Overnight closure and detour of the on-ramp to I-64 east from George Washington Highway north May 11-12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the detour below.

Overnight closure and detour of Great Bridge Boulevard at the I-64 overpass (between Tennyson Street and Libertyville Road/Finck Lane) May 10-13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

All local traffic will be allowed in and out of Tennyson Street. 

Motorists should follow the detours below. Signed detours will be in place.

Traveling south on Great Bridge Boulevard:

• Right on Booker Street
• Left on Bainbridge Boulevard
• Left on Dominion Boulevard
• End detour and turn left/right on Great Bridge Boulevard

Traveling north on Great Bridge Boulevard:

• Left on Dominion Boulevard
• Right on Bainbridge Boulevard
• End detour and turn left/right on Great Bridge Boulevard

Overnight closure and detour of the off-ramp from I-64 west to Route 168/Chesapeake Expressway May 13-15 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should use the cloverleaf detour below.

Overnight closure and detour of the ramp from I-464 south to I-64 east (exit 1B) March 15-18 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should follow the detour below:

• Take exit 1A from I-464 to I-64 west
• Take Battlefield Boulevard (exit 290A)
• Follow the cloverleaf to I-64 east
