Family Renew Community Fundraiser

We know that the weather was poor last weekend and we are fairly confident that was the reason that we didn't receive very many donations for the fundraiser. (Thank You to those of you who were generous enough to brave the storm and bring in a donation). Family Renew Community houses a large number of families at their three facilities in Volusia County. Their goal is to end homelessness in our community. Families are expected to work towards their goals and to remain drug- and alcohol-free.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Cash Donations
Checks should be made out to ''Family Renew Community, Inc". You can drop off checks or cash at The Fashion Safari anytime. We'd like to thank those of you who were generous enough to dig into your pockets and drop off a cash donation last weekend. A special thanks goes out to Rick Dryden of Daytona Beach for dropping off a check in the amount of $200.00.

Merchandise Donations
The Fashion Safari will accept small household items, toiletries, etc. for donation from now until Tues., Nov. 6th. Just make sure your items are either boxed or bagged and labelled "Family Renew". Sorry, but we can not accept any more clothing donations at this time. The housing units are in DESPERATE NEED of new household items (such as toilet tissue, paper towels, napkins, etc.) in addition to personal items (such as shampoo, bath soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary napkins, deodorant, etc.) These are items that you probably already have in your home and it wouldn't take much effort to gather them up. Please take a few minutes to just look in your closets and under your kitchen and bathroom sinks (if you are unable to go out and purchase these items). Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Update on Rose's Progress
Fractured Ribs are No Fun at All

Just wanted to give you a little update on my progress and THANK EVERYONE for all their kinds words and well wishes.
It turns out that I had fractured several ribs after a nasty fall
and had some other complications due to the injury. I am healing well but it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I can't wait to get back in the store and see everyone! Thank God for my laptop computer because it allows me to do a lot of work from home. Thanks again to Enid (aka Gabriella), Sue, Sandy, and Oksana for all their help with running the store smoothly during our busiest time of the year. I am truly blessed to have such great employees, friends, customers, consignors, family, and business associates in my life. You guys are the best and I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and coming back even better than ever!
