HUNTINGDON OFFERS NEW MAJOR IN ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY

Beginning this Fall, Huntingdon students can declare a major in Environmental Biology. “The Environmental Biology major is a great fit for Huntingdon students," according to Dr. Sarah Sours, Huntingdon's Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean for Faculty. "Our Environmental Studies minor has been very successful, and we’ve had at least ten recent alumni move directly into careers in fish and wildlife service, natural resource management, and other forms of environmental work. This major emphasizes experiential learning in what promises to be an in-demand field: students have opportunities to complete internships with state and professional agencies, perform independent research, and participate in sustainability initiatives as part of their coursework."
