ETS BOOT CAMP CLINIC

for

6th-12th grade riders

who want to ride in college.


TWO DIFFERENT CLINICS for IEA-aged riders, each with a

riding clinic and a classroom seminar.

Do one or do both! Different seminars each day!

 

Saturday: College Selection and Recruiting Clinic 

(see more details below)   Cost: $275

      Ride with top college coaches, be evaluated, get a report card, learn about college selection, recruiting, and scholarships. File a recruiting BIO, get help with college consulting from someone who knows all the programs

Sunday: Hunter Equitation Clinic

(see more details below) Cost: $195 

Ride and learn the keys to good hunter equitation from coaches who have produced collegiate National Champions, PLUS “Judge’s Perspective”

       seminar with USEF judge who judges a lot of college and IEA shows.

 

Cost Covers: riding lessons, daily seminars, and parents are

  encouraged to attend all parts of the clinic.

 

    Clinic enrollment is limited—don’t miss out!

    Riders will be divided into lesson groups by Jumping level —

      Riders should be at least IEA Novice level or crossrails. 

 


A dozen dates and locations each season, with some of the best teams in collegiate riding! Learn and be evaluated by top collegiate coaches, compete for great prizes and be seen and scouted.

ETS DIRECTOR AND HEAD CLINICIAN:


Jim Arrigon, USEF Hunter Equitation judge, ETS Founder and Director. Beckett Run Riding LLC, North Carolina.  

He coached at 41 National Team Championships (28 IHSA, 10 IEA, and 3 NCAA), is credited with more than 30 National Champion blue ribbons and 19 IHSA Regional Champion Teams with Murray State University, Miami University of Ohio, Ohio State, and Liberty University. 

His Beckett Run team was 2009 IEA National Champs, the first “barn” team to beat the prep schools. He is the only person to coach National Champion teams in NCAA, IHSA, and IEA, and was also team captain on two-time IHSA National Champion teams in college. 


More recently, he designed and built the Liberty University Equestrian Center and coached Liberty to Regional Champion Team and Holiday Tournament Champion team in 2017-18, and Ohio University to 4th Place at 2019 Tournament Series. 


His Miami University team was Top 6 at IHSA Nationals 11 times in a 15 year stretch, won 3 Tournament of Champions and Series Champion, and won NCAA National Invitational Championship twice. IHSA’s


Arrigon served as Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association National Secretary for 25 years, honored with IHSA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.


He stays very busy judging USEF hunter and equitation, and state hunter jumper association shows in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and North and South Carolina, as well as IHSA and IEA horse shows, including Regionals and Zone Championships. He also judged the 2023 National Snaffle Bit Association World Championship Show in Oklahoma


He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Kentucky, and a Masters degree in Equine Nutrition.  


His son, Matt Arrigon, rode for Jim at Miami University, was a Team Captain, and coached National Champs of his own at University of Lynchburg and St. Andrews University. Daughter, Hallie, was a Team Captain for Vanderbilt University. His wife was a longtime IEA Director, former Mayor of Gibson, North Carolina, and runs a horse show management business.
