Greetings, Lions Family!
We have made it to the finish line!! May is finally here; let the fun begin!
There are so many events planned for this month. With STAAR testing complete, teachers, staff, and scholars can really get down to business…Teacher Appreciation Week, Spring Recitals, awards programs, promotion ceremonies, Field Day, 8th Grade Week, and end-of-the-year classroom parties!
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th-May 10th. We sent home a flier with your scholar(s) that provides daily ideas on showing appreciation for their teacher(s). We would love to see you show out for our teachers; it will truly make their day. Also, see the flyer below.
Fine Arts Spring Recitals are also taking place the 3rd week of this month at the Anderson Center for the Arts. See the flyer below and come out to watch our scholars showcase their skills!
RSPA's Athletics Department will host its second annual athletics Sneaker Ball. The banquet will honor our football, volleyball, basketball, and track scholar-athletes, as well as our dance teams, the Dazzling Dolls and The Humble Cheer team. The banquet will be at the Northshore Campus this year!
Later in the month, we will have our annual Field Day. Our scholars will enjoy all sorts of activities, rides, and games. This is a fundraiser for the campus, so tickets and wristbands will be for sale. I can't wait to see you there!! See the flyer below for details.
Summer school letters will be sent home in the next few weeks. If your scholar was unsuccessful in the first or second semester and/or had excessive absences, please expect a mandatory letter for them to attend summer school.
Parents, your involvement is crucial to our students' success. Although we still fall short of our daily goal, attendance has improved! Way to go! Your efforts are making a difference. Thank you, and let’s continue pushing to 98 is Great! Remember, your child's attendance and academic performance have a direct correlation with their achievement. Let’s finish the year out strong.
Remember, my door is always open. Please stop by and say Hello!
Every Child, Every Day, 100% of the Time!!
