Relief for Guam

Guam is still recovering from Typhoon Mawar. Humanity First local partners cooked warm meals and delivered them to the Mayor’s office for emergency workers and for people who are coming to seek food and water. Rice with tuna or other canned meats are typical meals in this area. The team also prepared 100 bags of rice, pasta, canned proteins, and hygiene products, again partnering with the Mayor’s office to coordinate distribution to people in need.

Humanity First USA actively fundraises for Disaster Relief all year so that we are ready to respond, anywhere, when the need arises.

What does Humanity First look like around the world?

Spotlight on Guyana

Last month, the Humanity First Guyana team held a Medical Outreach Event at the Wismar Post Office in Linden for senior citizens. The team was pleased to welcome 94 people who chose the support they needed - screening blood pressure, testing sugar levels, and checking ears and hearing. They were able to consult with a doctor or physiotherapist and receive medication if needed. Several seniors took home donated clothing after enjoying a hot meal.

The HF Guyana team collaborated with the Ministry of Health, a local hospital, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Guyana. Through this connection to the government, the Mayor visited to show support and an MP joined to serve the meals.

Humanity First Guyana is a close partner of Humanity First USA. An HFUSA student team is leaving for Guyana this weekend. More to come soon from their collaboration with HF Guyana and local doctors to offer medical services to people in need.

Qurbani

This year Eid-ul-Adha is on June 28th

Every year, Humanity First USA joins an international Humanity First effort to ensure that people in some of the poorest places in the world have meat to enjoy for the important holiday.

In 2022, the global effort supported Qurbani Service for 730,000 people.

HFUSA worked with communities in Burkina Faso, Guyana, Indonesia, Liberia, Malaysia, Mali, and Tanzania and will again in 2023 serve people across South American, Asian, and African nations.

We prioritize deserving populations in refugee camps, disaster struck areas, prisons, orphanages, and communities near Humanity First schools and clinics.
