It happens only one night a year...the magical Harbor Illumination. Join us as we once again as we light the harbor with more than one thousand flares celebrating Hull's maritime heritage. There is so much happening at this year's Illumination!

Open House

Point Allerton Coast Guard Station

93 Main St., Hull, MA

11 - 2:00 pm

Come meet your local Coast Guard members and the Coast Guard Auxiliary at the Point Allerton Station. Take a guided tour of the station and boats, learn how to tie knots, and play some cornhole with the Coasties. It's a fun-filled day designed for the whole family, offering a unique opportunity to connect with those who keep our waters safe. Join us for a memorable day of learning, fun, and community spirit! 

Coast Guard City Commemoration

Hull Cemetery

Duck Lane, Hull, MA

5:00 pm

The U.S. Coast Guard color guard from Point Allerton Station will assemble at the grave of the renowned lifesaver Joshua James. The event will include welcoming remarks and a recounting of one of James's notable rescues, followed by a laying of flowers at his grave. The ceremony will conclude with a benediction. Guests will then receive maps of Hull Cemetery and Coast Guard flags to mark the final resting places of over 60 lifesavers, inviting them to pay their respects to these brave individuals.
