ALLIGATOR CLUB CHAIRS

A unique pair of American alligator upholstered club chairs from the late 1920's. The frames were purchased as French but they have what we think are English castors. We will call them French Club Chairs, perhaps.

19 American alligator hides were purchased to cover the two chairs using the original leather as a pattern and guide. It took a whole box of titanium sewing needles to sew the thick hides together. After six months of work the chairs are ready for sale.

This pair is unique in the world. The detail on the upholstery is superb. The arms are sprung as are the seats. They are so comfortable.

We are only asking $35,000 for the pair. They are easily worth double that amount. We will gladly send you additional pictures as needed

MCKENNEY /HALL INDIAN PORTRAITS

The History of the Indian Tribes of North America is a three-volume collection of Native American biographies and accompanying lithograph portraits, originally published in the United States from 1836 to 1844 by Thomas McKenney and James Hall.

Almost all of the original paintings were destroyed in the Smithsonian fire of 1863. What remains of this great effort are the lithographs from his history.

We have published in Giclee the 117 portraits shown here. Printed on cotton rag paper with archival inks to the highest definition available to date.
